Good. Fuck AI.
“AI free” is the same thing as “Lootbox free”
It’s an inclusion that significantly helped the executive bottom line, while harming the player experience. You run into these sorts of conflicts when there is a struggle between the art, and the money made from the art.
How does including “lootbox free” harm the player experience? Unless you mean that’s what the lootbox is doing?
That is in fact what I mean.
AI and lootboxes are both technologies that increase the money-making potential of a game at the cost of the experience. Ie: games are made worse for their inclusion, but it happens because the suits want a bigger paycheck.
Lovely. I hope it catchs out.
What’s annoying me are indie games that say they don’t use AI, or that they only use it for certain workflows, but it’s glaringly apparent that they used it for the majority of the game.
Like don’t lie about it. If they say “yeah this is majority AI” then okay I can accept that and I’ll make a decision on whether I like the game or not but otherwise it feels like they’re deceiving or grifting me.
wishlist unbeatable on steam
I join it!
I appreciate the sentiment but I have a feeling indie games will be flooded with ai crap just the same
They’re also lead free, asbestos free, no animals were harmed, and the developed are free range.
