It’s wasn’t the ethnic cleansing of Jews that was bad, it was the ethnic cleansing of Jews that was bad.

The more Israelis who wake up to this, the better.

This number is and has always been a rounding error. Better not count on it.

Not like Hamas wouldn’t genocide the shit out of Israelians if they had the means.

Hamas wouldn’t exist if they had the means; they’re a resistance organization.

Well, yeah, because they’ve been radicalized by having their families brutally killed in front of them. Warsaw Ghetto Uprising.

Modern Israel was founded by invading colonists so of course it’s being attacked by the people they’re invading.

Nah, they’re even worse because they’re the initiatiors of it. Who is more in the wrong in a fight? The guy who throws the first punch, or the guy who punches back?

Too many falsehoods and lies to warrant a response. But it is worth mentioning that Hamas accepts the 1967 borders and a 2-state solution while Likud doesn’t. Arab countries have been trying to make peace with Israel based on the same premise but Israel -Likud and right wing parties particularly- reject any Palestinian statehood.

Your comment is hypocritical coming from the continent that gave us colonialism, ethnic cleansing and two world wars. Our region has attracted invaders throughout history from the Greeks and Romans of antiquity to the Mongols and Crusaders of the medieval era to modern European and US colonialism and imperialism due to its location, and nothing inherently wrong with us.

This was a pretty interesting read: https://archive.org/details/AlbertEinsteinLetterToTheNewYorkTimes.December41948

There was a point where many peace activists saw zionism as a good thing, but then the zionists chose a fascist leader. To be fair in the 1940s it might not have been clear yet that religious nationalism is bad and tends to lead to fascism. What’s odd is that many still haven’t figured this out yet.

This of course applies to Hamas as well, which is why there’s not going to be peace in the middle east until there’s a secular group in charge of things on at least one of the sides.

Most religious people don’t understand that it’d also be bad if their religion was in charge.

Satire must be done with tact and a directed purpose. Otherwise it just becomes another example of what not to do.

Ah, by all distinction and similarity with Nazism and the Nazi party, there are few groups in the world right now that are more aligned to it than Benny’s cohort and ideologies. But they are not as effective in their actions. Ben’s damned near line for line from the Nazi playbook.

The only hold back is social. The world’s not able to socially understand how those persecuted by the Nazis have now become the Nazis. Honestly, the only difference here is we’re talking a small section of the middle-east and not all of Europe. The stinctions are otherwise quite minimal.

A small section of the Middle East for now, and not for lack of trying. They’re actively trying to restart the Syrian civil war.
