I was looking for any signs of editing and it’s pretty damn hard to tell. The guy in the background (not the one making sure that the dancer doesn’t fall, between him and the dancer) has some glaring issues. He magically put on a supervillan mask. The girl’s bellybutton stud disappears pretty quickly too. The bracelet has a couple of strings on it at the beginning that don’t show up again. But man, nothing was glaring on first glance.
We’re fucked. There’s no such thing as reality any more. I work in science and my colleague is editor in chief of a scientific journal. He gave up the job this week. The sheer amount of AI garbage that is submitted, he cannot handle it any more in the given timeframe. This is just one scientific journal, imagine this is happening all over in science. The pillars that create our knowledge of the world, science, the media, literature, the arts: however flawed, biased and imperfect they were, it’s over. The fake machine kills it.
All potential growth that AI might create at some domains of the economy will be eaten up by this effect that erodes our trust in science or our knowledge of the world at scale. Let alone the non-monetary damage it does to the very fabric of our society.

That mask is a good pickup.
We’re all screwed though. We used to be able to trust videos as news… no longer. Propaganda eat your heart out
