Looks more like Laura Loomer if you ask me.

(No that’s is distinctly not a compliment in any ground)

Why do they write “Naturally, the internet has gone wild and Quast’s mugshot quickly began generating a whole slew of jokes” and not tell any of the jokes? Added: ok the linked NY Post article has a few of them, meh.

I mean, her eyes are a different shape, and she has a bit more forehead, but apart from that? Dang, she really is a close doppelganger. With some strategic contouring, she really could pass as her double.

Without being primed to recognize someone, I would pass her on the street, yeah. But, if you threw her into a lineup of women and told me to find JLo, I’d pick her.

My wife is truly face blind. She doesn’t recognize actors in different roles. Even if she just watches a whole series staring someone, if she watched a different show where they appear, I’ll asked her if she recognizes them. She almost never does unless they look very similar. She says stuff like she didn’t recognize them because their hair was different, like that is a valid excuse. When I see someone in the wild and say “oh wow, they look just like so and so don’t they?” She says no their hair is totally different. 😮‍💨

That’s relatable, I’m kind of the same way. I’m absolutely awful at remembering facial (or any) features and I sometimes wonder if it’s related to my aphantasia since I can’t really picture anything or anyone in my head

Is your wife potentially not white? My wife of Sri Lankan decent is very similar. But somehow she can tell who’s an actor from one K-drama to the next.

I only just recently noticed that Walter White is Doug Heffernans neighbor.

Nice. Haven’t watched Queen of Queen’s and only watched sporadically in years so I don’t remember Doug’s neighbor. But I always love a surprise Bryan Cranston. He’s also Ted’s boss in How I Met Your Mother.

though AI detection tools have found that some media outlets like the New York Post have edited the photo to look even more like JLo.

The original mugshot is in the article, but all the tweets are using the edited photo from the NYP.

She does look quite a bit like JLo, but the edit is almost an exact resemblance.

That’s the real story, that a “media” outlet edited a news photo to create a story. The NY Post should be branded “entertainment”, like the WWE and Fox News.

Time to quit the life of crime and start a career in J-Lo impersonation. There’s got to be a market, right?
