I appreciate them and their work so much. They must all have a thick skin to deal with users every time stuff is broken.

we aren’t far enough from kellogg to propose this without too many people nodding along and agreeing with the premise (or at least that expelling sperm without trying to have kids is bad).
I wonder if there are a number of people who will always read an article if the pope is mentioned, so if he’s related to a topic even a little bit, he gets to be in the headline.
This article is fascinating in its choice of headlines. It briefly mentions the headline quote, and then goes on to primarily talk about the number of journalists who were killed last year. It was just an article about a conference the pope spoke at, but i really thought it’d be about something else before i read it. Successful clickbait, i guess???
So he basically convinced her to put on a play in the role as the bride. She checked to make sure it wouldn’t be legally binding, found out it wouldn’t unless she had already signed a document. cool. she does the play and then finds out he faked her signature. was he inspired by count olaf?
she just had someone she loved and trusted commit fraud. awful, awful man.
I used to think, ‘oh, people against sex ed just don’t understand the good things it does! Later first pregnancies, protection from abuse, std prevention…if they understood, of course they’d be on board!’ Haha, oh younger me.
I still do think there are lots of people who come around, if some source they trust reaches them, but I was mistaken to think certain other people were actually against child abuse and teenage pregnancy.
Same. :( People should send me money every time they walk into a room I worked on.
She makes next to nothing from putting previous works on spotify, and more from keeping previous pictures of her feet on onlyfans. There’s another article that we were discussing further down, about the likely percentage artists get, but that wasn’t your point, since you think she should get nothing from both spotify and onlyfans. I assumed you were questioning my numbers, but you think the number should be lower, so you were questioning my use of the word “ludicrous.” I get it now!
My main disagreement is that I’m positive now that all that 4000/day does not go to her, so she is probably not lying about the number difference. She does still make plenty off some old music in other ways, of course. To a ludicrous degree perhaps? No?
What’s her cut of that? If she gets all of it, then, yeah.
Hmmm…the problem is, even if you just post pictures at random, you’re going to find out unwanted info based on what pics bring in money. Sounds like you’d need a manager!
Allen’s daily stream count on Spotify as of Oct. 17 was about 851,623. Assuming that number is correct, the Music Streaming Royalty Calculator estimates Spotify would’ve paid a total of $4,077 a day, with $3,239 going to sound recording for the copyright owner; $336 of mechanical royalties going to the publisher, who pays the songwriter; and $503 in performance royalties going to performance rights organizations (ASCAP, BMI, etc.).
Which of these numbers goes to her? I’m just confused, I think.
What’s fun is that some people who read this article are probably into feet (good for them!) so it’s like an ad and now she’ll probably make even more on onlyfans. While still making ludicrously little from spotify.
I’m positive there is an audience for men’s feet, but if you aren’t 5 stars on wikifeet, you’ll probably have to market yourself. Study the foot fetish community to find out what the dude foot fan needs more of. Etc.
Is it against playstore rules to say in the description they can get it for free elsewhere? I do see how it could be or feel unethical, if people aren’t aware.

He looks so done
Is it lemmy.world? There’s a typo that threw me off in the link.
True! I think I’d go that direction, too. But I can imagine someone else being like “nerve pain sucks and it’s just a finger” about it.
I just think the option was between two different surgeries, neither with an ideal outcome, not between just waiting for it to heal and amputation, so it’s not as silly a decision as it first seems.
He urgently consulted a plastic surgeon who said that even with surgery to repair the finger - and the long recovery time - it may not regain full function.
Honestly, it seems like a pretty logical decision. Lots of people would opt for amputation in that situation, I think, even without factoring in giving up a lifelong dream.
Nah, when people were saying “egg prices are high and he said he’d lower them” for why they voted for him on election night, and i knew he wasn’t going to be able to do much, even if he tried, i knew I’d be bitterly watching the egg prices until armageddon. it felt like people’s big reason for why, that wasn’t just hating immigrants.
it’s bitterness on my part, but it’s also a tactic for better people to remind voters of a promise he made that they can immediately see he didn’t keep. it’s a way for people who voted for him to justify voting against him and his party in the midterms. that doesn’t mean they have to care about, like, democracy, or people who aren’t like them, and so on. they can save face.
