I don’t care what y’all think. Nothing about my food being hot or even warm makes it any better for me. I always burn tongue and even if I don’t, I really don’t enjoy rushing to swallow because my mouth is at risk of inflicting pain. Even when it’s slightly warm, I don’t like it. I want my food stone cold, no matter what the food is.

I always let my food cool down, not even to room temperature, I let it cool even longer and I eat everything stone cold. It lets me properly savor the flavor, without worrying about too much heat. Eating cold food for me is a relaxing experience, eating hot food is a panic-inducing one, and eating slightly warm food is boring, not any better than stone cold food. I’ll even gladly eat food straight out of the fridge and enjoy it! I’ve been called “crazy” and “perverse” for this many, many times.

I like my food stone cold and refuse to eat it even mildly warm, always letting it cool down way below room temperature. Screw what anyone thinks 😆

“Stone cold” usually describes a facial expression, not a temperature.

always letting it cool down way below room temperature

You can’t let something cool below room temperature as it would just reach equilibrium at room temperature. You have to actively cool it (like put it in a fridge) to cool it below room temperature.

That’s incorrect. Evaporative cooling may reduce the temperature beyond room temp, depending on how much moisture is available on the food.

According to Merriam-Webster’s dictionary, its first entry is literal, with figurative use second.

        stone-cold

        “1 : completely cold”

So yes, it is absolutely used to describe temperature.
