I’m usually someone who defends Mamdani and I get there’s a pragmatic side to his role as mayor but I also believe, if you’re going to call yourself a democratic socialist I’m going to hold you to a standard and criticize when you break from that.

Edit: spending money on the people of New York is what the mayor’s office is supposed to do. Sending stuff to a foreign country is above and beyond the call, so maybe keep those things in mind when you want to compare things.
