I’m so tired.

Every blatant indicator of the horrors of late-stage capitalism has to have a cutesy nickname and get repackaged as some quirk of consumer preferences.

This isn’t new. Anything DiY/hobby/YouTubeFodder related has shot up in price already, since Covid started.

Even the used markets for fabric, art supplies, wood, tools, old sewing machines that do 1 thing, have been crazy. Estate auction biddings on used sets of student grade garbage art supplies sell well above retail in the mad hunger for these items. ETA gardening/canning supplies.

Again though, as they make distraction less accessible (as with piracy crackdowns) they push the public into a more likely to riot state of being.

This headline hints that it’s getting worse.

Protip: playing with yourself costs nothing.

All my hobbies are expensive as fuck.
