Spontaneous battery fires are insanely uncommon when you’re using well made, well tested, reliable battery technology with good safety protections. Tesla is batting 0 for 4 there. Miss any of those four and your chances of fire increase exponentially. Miss ALL four and it’s basically guaranteed.

It is pointless, it was always pointless and always will be. That’s the point. Before the internet kids were stealing their dad’s or brother’s Hustlers and Playboys. For most of the internet’s time so far you just click a button that says “yes I’m over 18 I pinky promise”. In the future of the internet any effort to seriously implement age verification short of submitting a DNA sample is going to be bypassed. Trying to find porn is one of only like four things that teenage boys think about, you’re not going to stop that signal. Ask anyone born before 2000 about forest porn and they’ll probably have a story about finding a couple magazines or a VHS stashed in the woods somewhere near where they lived as a kid.
Best case, you just drive them off the mainstream sites that verify age and onto shadier websites that don’t. Or the kid that steals his dad’s ID to watch porn starts downloading and distributing them on USBs to everyone in his school, makes like $800, and then gets arrested, now this kid has an unnecessary sex crime on his record because the government really wants to know when you’re jerking off. It’s all just pointless performatism that causes more problems than it solves. And that’s not even getting into the fact that a nefarious government, which we definitely have here in America, can use that information to pinpoint especially LGBT folks via their porn viewing habits.
So at best it’s stupid and useless and at worst it’s going to get people killed.

If you’re European but residing in America long term, using American companies from on American soil are you still subject to European GDPR protections? I don’t actually know, I could understand an argument being made either way I think. I guess if you’re an active European citizen you got me there, but I don’t think many of those are here in America buying new cars are they?
Also, I needed an ID and credit card to buy a car… The dealer definitely knew who I was. I don’t know if you can just buy those cash anymore.
I could also just be wrong on all counts, but I think a car dealership has many ways to ensure whether or not you are subject to GDPR protections. Faking it probably isn’t going to get you very far.
They know you’re not a European. You bought and drive the car in America and presumably park it in America at night. It’s not like they don’t know where it goes.

Rise looks great when you aren’t looking for ways to dunk on it.
Besides which, World was such a sluggish beast that I was running the game on minimum settings anyway just to play the damn thing. So uh, I never got to see how beautiful it looks in your photo. Sure, it’s detailed, it looks good, it also runs like shit so maybe 10% of players got to actually see that. My point here was that Rise was a very impressive gain in performance for a relatively small loss in graphical fidelity. Good job Capcom, well done.
I have no idea how they pull this off though, because Rise looks damn near about as good as World does IMO, with faster and crazier gameplay, and runs at 80 higher FPS. Either their “fancy PC game” team is trash or their mobile team is legendary, because I don’t see how a minor change of art style and small drop in the number of individual grasses per map made such a huge change.
Now, Wilds does look a little crazy and I can understand how exactly the Deck might struggle on that one. But the playability difference between World and Rise without losing much graphical fidelity genuinely blew my mind. World limps along at 14 FPS on the Deck and Rise plays smooth as butter on the Switch as well as the Deck.
It became a real problem on reddit after a while where bots would just go grab the most popular posts of 6 months ago and post them all again. Before the bots, people would do it to farm karma, and the people would get called out for it, but it was never a huge deal because you were still getting at worst like a 60/40 split of new content to reposts. But after a certain point the ratio shifted dramatically in favor of reposts in a lot of bigger communities. I think that’s what really galvanized the hatred toward them.

They are definitely super willing to break the seal, just nobody has built a good target ID system yet that won’t fire on civilians.
If you just need everyone in a 10 mile radius dead, you could send in the hunter bots, or you could just shell the area with heavy artillery from three countries away. We already have that problem solved. Once we have a reliable target ID system I guarantee you’ll start seeing unmanned equipment in war.

So this says to me that baked in filter lists are now required, custom lists will not work, and Block Element is probably functioning illegally if it is indeed still functioning though that may change in the future in either direction.
Changing blocker behavior on specific sites is the only thing in that list that I see UBO disallow and ABP not mention at all. Not sure why that was changed.
