Wish they had a native app. The misskey clients make my phone itch
Cruising the #threadiverse. Let’s seed more resilient communities

Welllllllllllllllllllll there is a stereotype with the armed forces 👨❤️💋👨
I personally would not, partially for the aforementioned concerns about .zip and also because Lemmy IIRC has no migration path from one instance domain to another. This is partially due to ActivityPub and partially due to it not being addressed in Lemmy core.
This is part of the reason why after FMHY.ml got disrupted, those communities could not come back online on that server.
For the time being, whenever you choose a fediverse domain, you are stuck with it, especially if you run Lemmy.
I’m not that confident in sites that choose .zip at this point in time.
I’m…mixed on situations like these
Like yeah, it’s very annoying having to manually refresh for more content, but at the same time I do appreciate having more time to fully explore my timeline instead of coming back from a post to see they completely discarded my reading place, losing whatever is was looking at, likely forever.
Of course, for quieter networks you may run into the problem of content refreshing too little…

He should get that addiction to chewing wires sorted out
Despite its cultural references being decidedly 20th century, it still hits notes that resonate with kids and adults years later. Maybe it has been getting long in the tooth, but I think that just points to how many people just can’t put it down
Also “drenched in commercialism” is not the phrase I’d use; in fact it’s anomalously under-commercialised as a comic book franchise, intentionally so. I appreciate that.
If there’s any company that could actually do that it would be between PayPal and Metabook, not Muskrat. He’s not that guy
Why is he stealing Xorg’s logo?
Choosing beggar pirate that’s also your mom? Oh brother, I do not envy you
Ahahaha, the first approach was hilarious I will give you that. But I’m proud to see your new branding — I really think this could build some traction. Hopefully you will be able to work on a Linux client in the future.
Best of luck!
Hate to spoil the parade but this Twitter user is of a person mocking nftbros, not an actual NFTbro
Oh cool, another ASUS PC company spinoff, add it to the pile
If you build it, bots will come. 'Twas inevitably a more pressing concern when you suddenly have 30 mil+ signups in less than 2 weeks.
Hopefully our admin communities will handle our bot waves strongly.
A revocation of intellectual property will most likely require similar forces to the revocation of private capital — societally huge shifts in income distribution, production, infrastructure, and scale. I think those changes are worth making, but doing so would be very, very hard.
I am amenable to making current law much more reasonable, such as requiring a maintenance to keep IP relevant, cutting IP protection down to lifetime of author (not the company), making government funded IP freely or cheaply available to the public, putting abandonware into the commons after 10 years, fully legalizing emulators, etc.
I’m a dairy degenerate but this is insane
IME it only works for the initial tweet; can’t see any replies or suggested tweets. Might just be enough to keep their search traffic up, but it’s still enough that I don’t think people should link to Twitter anymore.
I wish there was a way to have responsible news sponsorship without having this annoying ass article limit system or web 3.0 crypto nonsense.
(I nearly flinched when writing that last sentence because I still have PTSD from Twitter summoning the Hordes if you so much as mention that c-word.)
It’s still refreshing that you can simply just edit a title now, lol
