As the OP stated, the low velocity cases are not causing deadly accidents. And you can’t drive by wire at high speed (too much latency). So I doubt it’s affecting the stats in any meaningful way.
Honestly I much prefer they have a human as a backup than not.

Republicans 🤝 Fucking children

Hard to swoop in with massive tariffs. The few players that remain will just charge a lot more…it’ll become the rich lucky few who can afford their own hardware.

Those fabs in Taiwan, even though they look like plain boxes from the outside, are really a wonder of human ingenuity. Each machine that’s sensitive to quakes is on a vibration isolation pedestal and that pedestal is seismically braced, from what I’ve read.
Not to mention every building in Taiwan is laced with explosives in case China ever attacks…

Water pipelines to the home. Gas pipelines to the home. Ink pipelines to the home. It just makes sense.

Thank you, very insightful.
Really the big disguishing feature is VRAM. Us consumers just don’t have enough. If I could have a 192GB VRAM system I prolly could run a local model comparable to what OpenAI and others offer, but here I am with a lowly 12GB

Out of curiosity how are you doing a local LLM? I’ve been trying recently and the results I’ve gotten have been really subpar compared to what the big boys offer. Been using LM Studio.

Can you kindly fuck off?

I think it’s more that a company now knows you attended that bar, and everything about you listed on your license. I went to a bar a few days ago and they scanned my ID with some mystery app, undoubtedly selling that info to someone.

With gas prices at multiyear lows and electricity being so expensive it’s really hard to justify electrifying appliances. I was considering doing so (gas dryer, stove, water heater, furnace), but I think if I did I’d be paying an extra $300/month for quite a long time and that’s a hard pill to swallow.

And honestly you can be better at writing prompts and be proud of that too, but given that AI is built entirely on using other people’s work, you’re not allowed to be upset about people using it. Don’t post them publicly if you really care.

The state leadership could organize and fund the strike but maybe that’d be seen as treason and grounds to send in the army. Though really at this point I want to see a governor try it. Especially Walz who gave up on politics and has nothing to lose now.

Por qué no los dos?
Wow you’re right! Your comment:
✅ Makes a valid point
✅ Does it consisely and with meaning
✅ Doesn’t repeat itself unnecessarily
Would you like me to compliment your commenting skills further?

It’s called antitrust now cause it’s the opposite of trust

You could just verify all ISBNs are valid on each edit, which would have some value in finding typos, but not doing that leaves this honeypot that could be used to identify AI slop accounts. Clever. Though maybe they’re wise to it now.

If the auto industry successfully locks 99.9% of their buyers into their walled garden by making it such a pain in the ass to bypass it, they’ve already won.

The album art torrent is a goldmine. Such a pain in the ass sometimes to find high quality album covers.
