Sometimes the updates aren’t even worth it.
Toyota said my prius needed an update so I installed the app for it. All the update did was remove fucking features that were usable in the car. Used to have the option to use Pandora from the console but it got removed randomly by an update.
Then they installed an Alexa search page that glitches my console if I every select it.
Basically I’m saying FUCK TOYOTA

They included cable tv in the monthly rent so I technically was a household that subscribed but I never once connected my tv to it lol.
I miss my old FX-8350 :( That’s the cpu I used in my first build. Only issue I ever had with it was Denuvo DRM.
Guess I’m happy my Toyota is the last model year that didn’t have a connection to the app that’s got privacy issues.

Earthbound did that thing with the final boss. A pirated copy would have more enemies on the screen and it would also crash before the final boss
Game dev tycoon had a thing were the pirated version of the game would be harder as it was coded that pirates would steal the games you make. I thought that last one was absolutely genius lol. You can now toggle the pirate mode in the settings to experience it yourself.
My sister was being sexually harassed online by a guy online for years. He would cyberstalk everything she did and she then tried to get the police to help after she couldn’t handle it anymore.
The cop that came to our house blamed my sister for it. Told her she must have done something to get this guys attention even though she never met him or spoke to him before.
I told another person I knew about the guy and she messaged him. The guy sent her a dick pic. She was 15.

Damn I wish more vape places were like the one I go to locally. They ask people who buy the disposals to drop them off back at the shop and they then recycle all of them after the box fills up.
My hatred for CenturyLink is only 2nd to what Suddenlink put my family through. It took an FCC complaint against Suddenlink for them to come fix our phone lines/Internet/security system that were all down for a full month before they actually came to fix it. They had to actually reply to the FCC complaint within 10 days.
I only made that complaint after a Suddenlink worker said that there wasn’t an outage like we had thought for the last 3 weeks. They then said the automated message that stated “your location has an outage” was fake and just what they were using to stop people from calling.
We worked from home and had to rely on mobile hotspots. Was all during covid so it was even harder for going out to have a safe place to work.
Yeah lol. All the spam I’ve seen comes from the meme communities that had multiple posts complaining about Sync. Like I’ve seen more people complain it isn’t FOSS than anything else so far.
Only other major times I’ve seen it across lemmy was when it was up for pre-registration and when it came out. The former seemed to be spammed a ton because people thought it had actually came out and tried to spread the word & the former was just people posting when it actually came out.
The complaining feels the same as when reddit mobile users kept laughing about 3rd party apps to feel superior in some way. I saw some actually comment how stupid some 3rd party app users were for paying for a paid app or subscription to view reddit when the official app was free.
I’m just going to ignore the rest of these posts after this and hide them. It all just makes them look obnoxious and full of themselves. Basically the type of shit that made me happy to leave Reddit.

OP getting banned seems sorta justified if that log is what caused it. Stating that the show(ST Discovery) they have issues with was progressive and then commenting how it made every non-gay white character evil or negative is really just the type of shit I used to see on Twitter when the show was first coming out.
That’s not even mentioning that the whole reason the comment chain started was because OP brought up his hate for the creator of Discovery in a discussion for a Strange New World episode. There was no need for the whole conversation to begin besides OP wanting to cause an argument. Mods didn’t want to deal with that shit.
