  • Canadians are furious, but even considering an uptick to catch rebates this is pure fraud:

    Let’s run the numbers:

    • 8,669 iZEV rebates over three days claimed by Tesla dealerships.
    • Mostly claimed by four Tesla locations.
    • Tesla dealerships in Canada are open from 10 AM to 6 PM.
    • That works out to 722 rebates per primary dealership per day.
    • Which equals 90 iZEV rebates per hour.
    • Or 1.5 Tesla sales per minute.

Let’s take a step back. Two Tesla sales every 90 seconds? That’s absurd. A good car salesperson might close two deals in two hours, not per minute. And that’s in a normal sales environment… not one where every eligible car has to be processed for a government rebate at the same time.

  • Check out any results for i3 wm use, they’re quite interchangeable.

Second advice is to check config examples and change or identify your meta key (I think default is ctrl, but I like alt).

Within the config file you can see many key combos for using Sway, but if you find new terminal, launcher, and workspace navigation (that’s your 1) you should be off to the races.

I think the above would be shift-meta-return, meta-D, and shift-meta-1,2 (to move a window to a workspace) and meta-1,2,3 (to go to a workspace). But I’m just on my phone and my memory gets mixed up because I have more memory from scrotwm/spectrwm and I might be mixing things up.

  • The best way I could describe Randland (an informal term for The Wheel of Time setting) would be a less dystopian Middle Earth.

It’s a larger and happier - and even more pure in a non-earthly-religions sense. In a good way. But there’s still world ending conflict, it’s just - incoming controversial opinion - better than Middle Earth.

It’s a massive world and worth every word read. It’s a lifelong re-read for me, and I don’t even re-read LoTR.

There is a similarity to Midworld and its relation to Earth in the series, but it would be spoiler-y for me to elaborate.

It’s very much The Hero’s Tale. Village - Adventure - Save the Cat. But it’s how it should be.

Edit: the show is not a place to start. Not slagging it, but it’s incomparable to the books. Best experience is the OG audiobooks narrated by Michael Kramer and Kate Reading, not Amazons re-recorded rights grab.
