I’ve had a different but similar issue. I have a VPN I log into so I can remotely access my work computer. If the VPN is on, YouTube won’t show me specific content that I know is usually there. It doesn’t tell me I can’t watch anything or tell me to turn it off, but some content is just missing 🤷

This is why I think it’s important to stoop to their level and start spreading childish rumors about them.

✔️ Not significant enough for them to claim defamation

✔️ Makes them far too angry for how petty it is on account of their extremely low emotional intelligence

For example: JD Vance only eats the cat food part of lucky charms pass it on

Another example: JD Vance says he’s sorry after cumming pass it on

Just one more for good measure: JD Vance puts his cast iron in the dishwasher pass it on

I’ve actually seen 2 recent practices that I hate more than this. While this is frustrating, at least you can input a custom tip. I’ve also seen them where they show 3 different dollar amounts that don’t indicate percentage but doing the math, it’s definitely way over the usual 20%. Then there’s the one I hate the most which I keep seeing at places where you don’t usually tip. You go to pay with your card and the little transaction/card machine shows different tip amounts, the default of which is already set. If you don’t want to leave a tip, you have to figure out which button to push to do so. They’re all different and it can be very confusing. I even saw one where each option was labeled in correlation with a button on the screen, except that they didn’t match up. And what do you do then? Ask the person at the register how not to tip them?

I’ve experienced this to a similar degree. Most of my family are small town people and I grew up without money in a small town. I moved to Chicago where I’ve been relatively successful and want to share some of the experiences I’ve had with the people I love. But I think the best test of whether or not I can actually include someone in certain activities is how they show up to a funeral. The reason that this is a good test is because you can tell who put in even a smidgen of effort to try to look nice and be respectful and who didn’t. And having grown up without a lot of money, I can tell you right now that it doesn’t cost much to go to the thrift store to get something that looks even a little bit nice even if it’s not standard. The last funeral I went to, you could immediately tell which family members didn’t try at all and just showed up in sweat pants and tshirts. Those are the people I wouldn’t take to certain places. Id maybe take them to touristy places, but that’s about it.

According to both websites I bought from, the shelf life is 2 years.

I ordered one from Aid access and one from safe choice. Both asked a few questions that didn’t ask for personal information or ID. They mostly just need an email, address to send it, and a credit/debit card to pay.

Very interesting. The way I see people fucking with AI at the moment, there’s no way someone won’t game an AI doctor to give them whatever they want. But also knowing that UnitedHealthcare was using AI to deny claims, this only legitimizes those denials for them more. Either way, the negatives appear to outweigh the positives at least for me.

According to multiple sites, both pills in the prescription have a 2 year shelf life if kept in a cool dry place.

If you read the email, they offer a few solutions to you. One is a credit for a new phone and one is a new battery free of charge. I took the battery since I was going to get it swapped anyway. While they replaced the battery, they also cleaned it up and swapped the back piece. It’s not a total refurbish, but it feels like I have a new phone now aside from the fact that Hulu isn’t supported and I can’t use my NFC reader anymore. Old phone problems I guess. No complaints about the battery yet and should stretch the phone life a while longer. Hopefully someone will release a small phone by then 🤷

Have you never gone somewhere a bit remote where you can’t just buy everything you need? Have you ever gone on a trip that required special clothing like a nice suit or dress? Do you not have kids? Do you not have medical equipment? Etc… These are all legitimate reasons to need more items than a personal bag can hold. While it’s certainly possible for some circumstances to only bring a wallet, it simply doesn’t apply to most travel situations. Try to put yourself in the shoes of others every now and then.

I didn’t interpret this as it’s bad to make people come to the office that physically need to be there or that it’s judging them for not taking PTO. I interpreted this as a cringe showboat where they try to show how cool it is to be in the office and everyone should love being in the office. The commentnand response at the bottom about the open floorplan say it all.

My husband has had a metal USB stick that is shaped like a key and is very thin specifically for this purpose. I don’t know the brand as it’s not printed on it, but it’s lasted him a long time and I would assume it to win this contest by a landslide. Excellent analysis, very interesting!

I don’t know if these things are sent en masse by a bot or by a person, but it’s like they don’t even skim your profile before hitting send. Like I specifically said “Work from home only”, what makes you think I want your “hybrid” opportunity in bumfuck Illinois that barely pays what it should for my experience?

While I’m not fully on board with this idea, I do think it could help some people out. When I got my first job out of college, I definitely couldn’t afford to live anywhere aside from my parents house. All my friends were in the same boat and even with our meager salaries together, we could not afford to get an apparent together. It took us 3-4 years out of college to have the salary to be able to come together and get an apartment. But what if you moved to a new place and don’t have friends to share with? What if you just… Don’t have friends or have some reason you can’t live with others? This is a great solution for that. My brother was in a situation recently where he felt stuck in a relationship with his batshit crazy girlfriend because he couldn’t afford to be on his own and would have to move in with our parents if they broke up. It eventually worked out and he has an apartment all his own, but I feel he could have removed himself from that relationship sooner if there was a cheap option like this for him to use temporarily.

I haven’t heard any other comments chime in from one of my use cases, so I’ll give it a stab. My first use case, I mentioned in another comment which is just adding a specific tone onto emails which I’m bad at doing myself. But my second use case is more controversial and I still don’t know how to feel about it. I’m a graphic designer and with most enhancements in design/art technology, if you don’t learn what’s new, you will fall behind and your usefulness will wane. I’ve always been very tech savvy and positive about most new tech so I like to stay up to speed both for my job and self interest. So how do I use AI for graphic design? The things I think have the best use case and are least controversial are the AI tools that help you edit photos. In the past, I have spent loads of time editing frizzy curly hair so I can cut out a person. As of a couple years ago, Adobe I touched some tools to make that process easier, and it worked ok but it wasn’t a massive time saver. Then they launched the AI assisted version and holy shit it works perfectly every time. Like give me the frizziest hair on a similar color background with texture and it will give you the perfect cutout in a minute tops. That’s the kind of shit I want for AI. More tools eliminate tedious processes!! However there is another more controversial use case which is generative AI. I’ve played with it a lot and the tools work fantastic and get you started with images you can splice together to make what you really envisioned or you can use it to do simple things like seamlessly remove objects or add in a background that didn’t exist. I once made a design with an illustrative style by inputting loads of images that fit the part, then vectorizing all the generated options and using pieces from those options to make what I really wanted. I was really proud of it especially since I’m not an illustrator and don’t have the skills to illustrate what I envisioned by hand. But that’s where things get controversial. I had to input the work of other people to achieve this. At the moment, I can’t use anything generative commercially even though Adobe is very nonchalant about it. My company has taken a firm stance on it which is nice, but it means I can really only use that aspect for fun even though it would be very useful in some situations.

TLDR: I use AI to give my writing style the right tone, to save loads of time editing photos, and to create images I don’t have the skills to create by hand (only for funzies).

This is my one of 2 use cases for AI. I only recently found out after a life of being told I’m terrible at writing, that I’m actually really good at technical writing. Things like guides, manuals, etc that are quite literal and don’t have any soul or personality. This means I’m awful at writing things directed at people like emails and such. So AI gives me a platform where I can enter in exactly what I want to say and tell it to rewrite it in a specific tone or level of professionalism and it works pretty great. I usually have to edit what it gave me so it flows better or remove inaccurate language, but my emails sound so much better now! It’s also helped me put more personality into my resume and portfolio. So who knows, maybe it’ll help me get a better job?
