A newly released police report provides the first detailed account from the Cedartown officer who shot and killed HeeHaw, a bottle-raised donkey, while helping search for a missing 12-year-old girl in Polk County.
Officer Trenton Garner wrote that he fired one shot after the donkey charged toward officers and an attempt to scare it away with a Taser did not work, according to the Cedartown Police Department incident report.
“I tried all the ways I could force it to stop.”
It’s always brute force with cops. Hire the dumbest people and get the worst approaches to the easiest problems.
The Polk County K-9 handler removed his Taser and activated its electrical arc in an attempt to discourage the animal, but Garner said the donkey continued toward them
He turned on a hand tazer. The donkey didn’t respond to a 2 in arc of electricity, so he shot him. No warning shot, or anything either.

It was in a pen.
They shouldn’t have been in the pen anyway. Trespassing without a warrant.
Also. Who tf gets in a random pen on a farm?
You don’t know what’s in there.
Could be a bull out where you can’t see. Or a moose. Emus. I mean. It’s just plain stupid.

Okay, I thought I read it that way and I was confused as to what that was supposed to have done.
I suppose that compared to acorns falling on a car, this must’ve felt like a real threat to this cop. 🙄
