    They literally just got web slinging right and the childhood dream of a game where you fly through building and stop random crimes as Spiderman worked as it did in your imagination.

    that was a big feat but yeah, those games were over hyped when they were basically just really fun to move around in

      Spider-Man 2 already did this decades ago, and there was actually a learning curve to that game’s traversal, making it way more satisfying when you got good at it.

        It was 14 years between those games. It’s a good mechanic that deserved to be dusted off. There were a bunch of other Spiderman games between them that didn’t do it. The Insomniac Spiderman had better everything else too, people really forget what that old Spider-Man 2 game was like outside of the swinging mechanics.

      Yeah, I will not pretend that I did not have fun with it. However, by the end of it I had not desire for more of it. As a result, I haven’t played any of the sequels.
