this is like saying you’re going to pass a law that the constitution is the law, and other laws outside the constitution alone are banned.
I want to run for office on banning Shariah law. Then once elected, introduce and push through a law to do just that. But while called the Anti-Shariah Law Act, it actually enshrines broad universal provisions to keep all religions out of government.
Sharia law, Christian law, Jewish Halacka, all awful ways to live for most people.
I don’t think any of it should be illegal. BUT, the least we could do is stop financing fundamentalists. Churches, synagogues, mosques should all pay taxes, like everybody else.
They also abuse the hell out of our social safety net. We all pay for this, and they are making bloody fortunes and sending billions back to the Taliban and Israel and HAMAS and Uganda and on and on and on, fueling slaughter.
