    Looks fake.

I’ve never seen an article that says “Study Finds” and then doesn’t name the study or the authors or the journal or the university.

It most certainly is. Damn, @[email protected], wtf is this? Check the Reader’s added context. – how regularly have you been posting absolute trash sources?

E: Also, some actual data in comparison.

Firstly let me say Yogthos is a good comrade and overall a positive for Lemmy.

Secondly, he posts trash sources very frequently and it’s obvious he doesn’t read beyond the headline before posting. He posts like someone who’s scouring an RSS feed for Lemmy posts and prioritising volume of posts over anything.

Sure, I know that Yogthos is a fine soul. But I was probably expecting a minimum of quality and a polymarket side project website with AI-generated misinformation articles is not getting over the hurdle. Maybe that’s just me, maybe I’ll have to adjust my perspective on this situation. However, I now see a post with 100+ upvotes and in this case, I would argue, no, that’s not an overall positive for Lemmy. Yogthos sure, posting this shit, no.

And yes, I was under the impression, that Yogthos does at least some kind of basic verification of the stuff they post. If there’s no curation, then it’s spam, in my opinion. Is it too much to expect a higher standard? That’s why I was asking. Maybe there are ways to adjust the process, I don’t know how they work.

In any case, this website is the news equivalent of one of those shady-ass sports gambling websites.

There won’t be anyway because grandma is gonna be sucked dry by things like reverse mortgages, assisted living, or end-of-life healthcare costs before she has a chance to pass anything down anyway.

For us it was cancer and my uncle stole a bunch of valuables and burned her house down.
