1900 euros for 512 gb with no sd card slot. 24-bit/192kHz audio support, but no headphone jack. Why even bother?

I really hope the next generation of Moto G gets graphene support. Somehow their low end phones end up with more useful features than the flagships.

For phones like these, which are primarily going to be used by nerds, tech enthusiasts and tinkerers, this is poor launch strategy from Motorola.

Most of the audience for something like this will be turned off by this and all the hype they generated will fizzle out a bit.

They should have started with a mid range launch first, get enthusiasts to rave about it and then upsell these extravagant features to less involved consumers.

Signature is their pro max. Just wait for a new “edge” with GrapheneOS support.

Not justifying the price, its stupid expensive. But please don’t act like this will be the only Motorola with GrapheneOS support.

So many of you are being so irrational and ungrateful. Do you know how much work the Graphene team likely did to make this happen? This means Graphene is less dependent on Google hardware in order to exist (ie, if Google decides to lock bootloaders in future Pixel models it won’t end the project). An expensive high-end phone brings along rich people and corporate users who will hopefully donate to the project. The engineers at the Graphene project work so much and it would be nice to see more appreciation.

No one is being forced to buy this highest end model. There are plenty of Pixels they support and will continue to support and they likely they will support other models that will be much cheaper over time. If you don’t want to buy a $2K phone, don’t buy this model. Problem solved! Or wait for more people to be selling this phone used and buy a used version of this model. Also, having this much RAM means that it’s more likely this can run virtualized ARM operating systems and can work like a desktop when plugged in, although I am not sure if it can do that.

If it costs that much, it better come with at least 10 years of updates. And I guarantee it won’t.

In 2012 I built a PC that could play Skyrim on Ultra settings for $1200. That includes the cost of the monitor and peripherals.
