They manipulated the market using marketing for AI, selling empty promises: it is not the aimless random output machine’s fault.
It is just a tool being used as a smoke screen so no one will blame big money for what they intentionally caused to happen.
The prompt machines are without agency - it isn’t responsible for the human greed that builds these data centers. It isn’t responsible for the water they use to keep it going - that’s again human intention and greed - AI doesn’t deserve being the villain because it is just zeros and ones and not a person.
