Because the applications of AI in video games are amazing for indie devs. Like for the first time ever, the profession of game designer could actually exist and you could go from game design document and sketches to a game and iterate without sucking corporate dick. Especially for game development AI doesn’t destroy art, it enables a completely new form of art to come into existence. An actual artists or a small team could actually create a game on their own.
