Oh damn! Great catch, those are definitely one of the details why I could never get into the show. My brain registered it subconsciously without verbalizing it, I just knew I didn’t like it or it felt dumb for some reason.

Always bugged me how the grass wasn’t overgrown in The Walking Dead. Who the hell is going around mowing lawns in the zombie apocalypse?!
It’s not like this wasn’t even filmed in Maine in the Winter.
It was filmed in Atlanta. It takes 10 days from grass to go from mowed to overgrown 6 months of the year.

There is that videogame based on that premise. Goblin cleanup. You reset and clean dungeons in between heros.
Now that you mention it, there’s a lot of ammo laying around a lot of video game caves.
