If you see someone drop money and then you take it, however is that different in terms of criminal code if you don’t see someone drop the money and then take it? It makes you an asshole, but what is the actual difference in terms of a criminal charge? Does it fall under some Good Samaritan laws?

And I am sure they track the woman down and gave her back the 30? How much money did it cost tax payers for all this policing?
It doesn’t sound like there was any actual policing involved. They got a webcam still and posted it to social media.

Seems like the lady was littering. The guy was rescuing her from being charged with the crime of littering.
