As someone without parents I immediately thought what kind of job pays enough to pay all your bills and rent. Then realized you probably aren’t paying the starting rate of thousands of dollars each month to parents?

Ipods were extremely out of my price range as a teen in poverty. MDs were selling at deep discount, and the MP3 players in stores were 8-32 MB. And I wasn’t going to get money for the 32 if 8 was there and nobody around me understood the limitations of only holding 3 songs.

Honestly I forgot that iPods existed back then because the price was nowhere near realistic. It probably would have been preferable to MD though if money didn’t matter.

I had a MD player in 2004. I actually preferred it over MP3 at the time. With a similar priced MP3 player you could only fit a few songs, but with MD you could have several MDs and not have to keep overwriting songs. Both were rewritable if needed though. Both were filled the same way by being connected to a PC.

It motivated me to study German. But you can just block any communities that post in languages that you don’t understand.

This is on iOS. Double tapping collapses or opens the entire comment field.

Currently to copy an actual word I need to hold down on the comment field, a menu pops up where I can select “Select text”, where I can then go in and select a word to use for translation.

Would it be possible to make it easier to copy a single word? Right now there are multiple steps where I need to hold it down, then click select text, then try to highlight a word if I want to get a translation of a word for example.

It would be nice if I could just directly highlight a word with a tap or translate without the multiple steps. Thanks for the app.
