Well that’s interesting. I’ve read more than one place the having uBlock Origin is “enough” and that adding Privacy Badger is overkill. I’ve also got AdGuard Home running on a Pi-4. I failed all three tests with Vivaldi Nightly and Arc Browser–both with uBO installed…

Simply adding Privacy Badger to the existing setup, suddenly I had “strong web protection”.

[edit] Firefox passed without having to add Privacy Badger.

A personal gripe of mine. I can’t get any of my friends/family to care…

Anyone know if things like uBlock Origin already handle this? 🤔

With Lawnchair–Nova having gotten wonky under Android 14 beta.

I get grief about being a pessimist (primarily from, yes, optimists), but both pessimism and optimism are strategies for coping with life’s uncertainties. One works better for some, the other works better for others.

Follow-up after using Magic Earth to navigate to an intersection up in the local hills: It worked, but I didn’t like that it wasn’t indicating street names in the read-aloud directions–just “turn left, turn right”. That might be a must-have feature for me.

I’ve been running the A14beta on my 7 Pro after reading a post by someone who said he was getting insanely great battery life after installing it. I can’t quantify if it’s better or by how much, but I don’t regret the upgrade at this point.

I typically fall asleep to podcasts after starting them and putting the phone face-down on the bed near my head. A couple of nights ago the audio seemed noticeably quieter and muffled when I set it down. I knew the upper, front-firing speaker would be covered, so logically one of the two bottom-firing must be out… #wrongo

Good news if you have no other options, but I think I’d probably visit my local nerd shop that’d been doing it awhile before I’d go to Best Buy. (But I live in a giant Megalopolis with dozens of repair options.)
