I had a Note 20. A week ago I got an Xperia 5 II for 70€ and installed LineageOS and it’s so much faster than the Samsung. Decent Pixels are a quite expensive here so no Graphene for me

This makes it horrible to read. An example that comes to mind is a Finnish athlete with the last name Määttä. If it was Maatta, it would be pronounced differently but still understandable if you knew the person. But it was translated into Maeaettae which is just horrible

Windows, famous for not needing drivers installed lol
Not exactly this, but I hate it when devices translate all the languages in the language selection screen to the chosen language. So I have to guess what “English” is in Chinese. As if it wasn’t difficult enough to navigate to said menu

Desktop linux on arm*. The kernel itself has been running on embedded arm deviced for 25 years and on a large portion of phones for 15.
Yeah I imagined you’d need something like that. I might give the feature a try, I have a keyboard with Vial, a real time configurable fork of QMK.
How does it work in games, like holding W?

Why the hell can’t I get a phone without a front camera? I never use it and it creates an annoying hole in my screen
Now if you would kindly tell me how to get those apps installed on a privacy respecting OS

I think it’s cheaper to not flee from the cops

Just looked it up, ane it seems to be $550 with worse specs than ny current phone I paid $130 for

Then again my flashlight has a microcontroller with open source firmware on it

I once ran a red light with my moped, made of steel, because the light never turned green

Crap. I use pretty much exclusively Ikea stuff with my Home Assistant

Didn’t you read? He figured out everything

Clearly we need a full body mask, no need to seal against skin. Or even a full head mask that you tighten around your neck…

I don’t see anywhere where it says to be compatible with a beard. Also, it says it protects from sandblasting and asbestos. Tear gas and the like are a very diffefent beast and get through smaller openings.

It seems a lot of people have forgotten that proper journalism is more than repeating what someone tweets
It was SMS, but better. It has been the message platform of choice for pretty much everyone in my country for well over a decade, not as many options existed back then.
I had a Samsung and wanted to switch to Lineage. My “new” phone was 70€ and still works very well
