Didn’t know about this. Checking it out now, thanks!
It would except for the fact that shoe sizes here, from babies to adults are only sized in centimetres. If there are international sizes printed on the shoes, they have no meaning to residents in Japan. Check the tag inside your shoes; If they have international sizes printed on them, you’ll see Japan’s is in centimetres, and may have EE (or more Es) next to it to denote width. If there is nothing, then they are standard width.
Children’s clothing is also sized in centimetres. Makes things really simple.
No trash cans in the parks around here. Train stations tend to only have trash cans on the platforms, not inside the station (just my experience, not definitive). You just learn to carry your trash with you until you find somewhere to dispose of it. I don’t see the big deal. If you do buy something from a street vendor say in a park or at a festival, they will provide a way to dispose of it. Also, it is not so common to eat whilst walking, so it reduces the problem considerably.
Same, but in Japan.
Have you got compatibility turned on in the photos app?
I feel like nobody here read the actual article.
I agree. Most people are acting like they are killing off the whole product line (of which there is only one product currently). However, the article clearly states that a second generation product is in the works.
I’ll save you guys from watching. It was just a bog standard crappy USB C cable. This video reeks of advertising to me. The tool which was used to identify the cable (which tbh I thought was pretty cool, so I searched it using the obvious hints in the video) is a kickstarter which is starting sometime today. Awfully sus!
Yep! So convenient /s
It sucks, yes. But, if you select the “web” tab instead of the “all” tab at the top of the page, you’ll get something more akin to what you’re looking for. There’s probably even a way to script it so that it defaults to that view.
That’s totally true. I do see where they have posted. I personally disagree that it is mildly infuriating though. We’re all allowed our own opinions. If I was working in tech support and had the OP call up, their actions would come across as mildly infuriating.
OPs bank has provided the solution. For whatever reason, they’re choosing not to use it. I think they’re making a mountain out of a molehill.
Take a photo of the QR code with your smartphone, or display the QR code on your phone, and scan the screen with your webcam. Problem solved.
lol wtf an inactivity fee for a virtual prepaid card is charged every month? Who hurt them?
Japan here. I’ve never seen them.
Zero here for me. You using an ad blocker?
It’s not about losing face. It is the fact that seishain, or permanent employees are very hard to fire. The company needs to keep a record of the employee’s failures.
In addition, the company needs to implement and execute improvement plans. The results of those need to be reviewed. The next plan has to be implemented. And so on.
Only when they fail to show improvement a certain number of times (I don’t know exactly) can they be legally fired. You can’t just fire someone like in the U.S. style of at will employment. That would be a lawsuit waiting to happen.
So it is easier and cheaper to “persuade” the employee to resign.
However, this terrible behavior is considered to be power harassment, and all large companies now have ethics hotlines. Also, companies have to provide annual trainings on issues like this. So, I hope this practice is decreasing.
Thanks for the heads up. I rarely have a need for photoshop these days, but I grabbed the iPad only version of Affinity Photo just in case as it was so cheap in my region.
I’m sure it’ll get some use. Once or twice a year I try using a combination of smartphone apps to do some editing as I can’t be bothered dusting off my old slow laptop. So this will be cool. And it still runs on older hardware. iOS 15 is still supported!
If you use a dns level ad blocker there aren’t any ads. I didn’t know there were any until I read your post.
Don’t threaten me with a good time.
