Making a simple, clean website with an ssg (like zola) with only HTML+CSS is an art of engineering imo.

If you want to make a giant website with lots of interactivity tho, I highly recomment nuxt. Much much better than next

The open source client doesn’t mean jack shit dude. Telegram also has open source client. Your data lives on their servers not clients and also, even if the server code is open source, there are many ways for a backdoor and violations of privacy in the infrastructure. When you give up your phone number, there is no privacy.

Signal is most likely a fed honeypot.

They are super shady, blocked some important security researchers that found a vulnerability from them on all platforms, and they offer no explanation on why using a phone number is MANDATORY for signup.

The linux kernel isn’t free anymore. It’s open source, but not free.

It’s good for new, unrelated stuff. For example if you’re just starting to work with python, or just want to test some project, its much easier to setup than nvim or emacs. I also like intellij idea. I think in terms of just works, it is much better. But it is more resource intensive
