With handheld PCs’ resurgence, iGPUs are getting recognition. With my handheld PC, I can easily play most PC games, barring the latest AAA games, on it. It has basically transformed the way I play video games, and it is powered by a 12 CU RDNA 3 iGPU. I was blown away when it could play 2010s games at ultra settings, 1080p, 60 fps with just a 10-watt configured TDP.
Especially the latest Ryzen HX395. It’s an APU with a 40 CU RDNA iGPU. I think the current development is going on that direction.
I’m luckily one of the “grandfathered” employees in my company meaning that I joined when the company is very small and got a very good contract compared to other new hires and they’re currently making my life hell in hopes to make me resign from the company. Unfortunately the job market is still hell. So, I’ve just got to hold on until I got fired to get that severance pay to act as a buffer money for me to start freelancing.
What industry are you freelancing on?
Hmm it seems it doesn’t work with how time works in our universe.
Are you a interdimensional traveler who came from a universe where time flows backwards compared to this universe?
The endgame will be Gemini generating videos based on the information they’ve harvested off you.
I’ve been experiencing this, but only when I’m not logged in to my Google account. It seems that they’re forcing people to log in so that the search results are less shitty.
I go the other way. My youtube account is used across my family. My recommendation is a fucking mess.
Harvest data more efficiently for our corporate overlords :)
My office had a period where we used LibreOffice and others because of some licensing dispute with Microsoft. However that period of peace ended when we migrated to 365.
If there is even a GPU being sold. It’s much more profitable for Nvidia to just make compute focused chips than upgrading their gaming lineup. GeForce will just get the compute chips rejects and laptop GPU for the lower end parts. After the AI bubble burst, maybe they’ll get back to their gaming roots.
In software development it’s usually used to describe the situation after an incident was resolved. The team that’s responsible for the feature usually performs a postmortem to find out the root cause and find out what they can do to avoid another incident.
Luckily on my system it didn’t break.
Well I’ll be damned.
Text for my screen reader using friends.
Me: What is the I in LLM stands for?
Gemini: The “I” in LLM doesn’t stand for anything. LLM stands for Large Language Model.
I’m currently dual booting and still uses Windows for gaming since I tried gaming on Linux and I basically got around half the FPS that I usually got on Windows (I have Nvidia GPU). I think I’ll fully migrate when I upgrade to an AMD GPU sometime in the future.
I just tried the free option (bitwarden) and then migrated to Proton to use all of their apps. TOTP support is also an added bonus for the Proton Pass since Authy has fucked off a cliff.
At what cost, though? I thought the generations after the millennials would be more tech-literate. But after seeing Gen Zs around me at home and at work, things are just regressing.
At least tree fiddy.
Yea I’m just saving up for an oled monitor at this point. My 5800X3D + 3080 12GB combo can still pretty much play everything above 60 fps with optimized settings on 1440p.
I also got a handheld for local streaming so I can push the graphics settings down more and still get a good IQ due to smaller size.
