Google also seems to pad their library with stuff uploaded to YouTube, which I’m pretty sure includes stuff not uploaded by authorized individuals.
Music streaming services are crooked AF

It really depends on the mods. Stock Minecraft and even many mods would run fine on a potato, but some of the bigger mods actually require quite a bit of CPU/overhead.
There are also various mods that require certain (older) versions of Java etc to run, and those versions of Java may have known security issues.
I hate to knock it as a product, but I compared a lot of the books I bought on Kindle and - unless I’m missing something - the selection on Kobo seems quite limited in comparison.
It seems that Amazon is using Kindle Unlimited you lock authors into exclusivity. This reeks of monopoly abuse but of course nobody is going to do anything about that.
Yeah I looked into the Kobo store and a LOT of the books I have - which are not exactly small titles - aren’t available there.
In some cases they’ve got the first couple books or audiobooks out of a series that currently has 10
The color might make more sense if you’re into manga or graphical novels as opposed to just ebooks
This doesn’t track.
To pull my books into calibre, I need to first download them onto the Kindle, which requires wifi.
So at this point it’s not actually a phone. It’s a concept for a phone that they’re planning to build but there’s not even a beta yet by the sounds of it.
Good idea, but a ways to go before it may become an actual product
Not really surprising that short video clips would be used to target people with lower critical-thinking skills and attention spans
Neither do the other thousands or millions of people who do so, but it’s not a particularly uncommon thing and it’s likely enough that (birthdate) is the reason it’s there. I’ve got my birth year (not '88) in my username for some sites because the bare username was already taken
He’s a money supporter.
Yeah, birth years are super common in usernames (and password, don’t use it there). Bob Smith finds his preferred username is taken so becomes BobSmith79 or BobSmith88 or whatever because it’s easy an easy enough variation to remember.
You can find patterns/relations in almost anything if you reach for something, kinda like the “six degrees of separation” thing even if there’s a more reasonable answer
They did. Not many choices left that support it, sadly
Yeah, going from “Google Play Music” to “YouTube Music” was such a downgrade. Shit like Bluetooth had more issues with YTM, and they completely eliminated the ability to purchase music. It sucks and there are still no good alternatives on Android :-(
Yeah. Calling something a sale at a price that’s not actually discounted under the regular price (with some caveats on how long it needs to be at said regular price), then yeah it’s a violation of the act. Basically false advertising.
Bumping up the regular price to cover what you’d have otherwise saved on tax is dickish but not against any regulations AFAIK
Raising prices then advertising a “sale” at the same/higher price IS actually against the law though. Unfortunately we have terrible enforcement of these laws but they do exist:
Could have had another target on the list but also plans to do a full reveal if caught
Fixed fine on a sliding scale for repeat offenders
Hydroelectric is great where it is available, but it’s again limited by landscape and other factors in use
Night? Longer periods of cloudy days or storms?
AOC would make a better president IMO
