To me the op’s statement sounds ironic, but not really a projection. According to google, to project is to unconsciously attribute your thoughts/feelings onto someone else. Like if you’re having an argument and you’re losing and as a self defense you claim that the other party is angry and or unreasonable or whatever.

In this case the cybertruck owner says the guy shaming him should be shamed. He doesn’t realise that it’s him who should feel shame, so it’s ironic.

Am I missing something? Or was it all just some joke and I’m just overthinking it?

Yes, in the context and ignoring everything else, sure, I agree. But to me, it makes no sense how someone could believe that republicans are somehow pro big business but anti big tech. Talking about these things as if they’re unrelated doesn’t make sense to me. Maybe I’m just missing something, I guess.

Ok, maybe he wasn’t praising republicans as a whole, but he did praise trump for picking a big tech lobbyist in a job in which he claims to want the opposite. “Great pick!” is a praise, you can’t deny that, can you?

When you’re praising republicans as being the party of the little guy, that’s more than agreeing with 1% of the stuff that they’re doing.

I’m not talking about repainting anything, why are you moving the goalposts? Just buy a white car AND use a visor, what’s wrong with that? And in the future, if this stuff is actually good, maybe all cars can come already painted with it?

Maybe the fact that the experiment was done when outside were only 20-22 degrees made the difference less noticeable? Otherwise I can’t explain why all the other tests I’ve found said the difference was 5-10+ degrees.

Mythbusters did an experiment with a black car and a white car hitting in the sun. The black car was 12 degrees Celsius hotter. Claiming that the paint makes no difference is such a weird take. I thought this was common knowledge as well as many people I’ve met avoid darker colours in summer and such.

I think the idea is that average people have no clue what color they are. So they’d be forced to take it out to check and thus have to restart their PC. It’s a trick!
