If you’re snooping here, you gotta calm yourself down.

Bedrock edition also has a docker stack and is easy to self host. You can play bedrock edition cross platform. If your kids already have Minecraft on a switch or Xbox or something like that, they can still play on that.
Yeah it’s still looking pretty rough, but I guess it is playable. Drops below 30 quite regularly and relies heavily on upscaling. But it looks like a better experience than FF7 Rebirth is on steam deck.
For handheld, I’d live with it if I couldn’t stream from a PC for whatever reason. But if playing docked on a monitor or tv, this wouldn’t cut it for me.
Note, I haven’t actually bought this game yet, I’m waiting for sales.
I just have to keep reminding myself that these are games designed and targeted for the PS5, and to honestly be running in any decent capacity on the steam deck is quite a feat in its own right.
They’ve been updating it regularly and it’s in a much better state today than it was at launch.
I definitely get down to 22 fps in towns on the OG Steam Deck with default settings.
But lowering all settings to low and Dynamic Resolution to max 100 min 66 gets me back to 30fps everywhere
Ok, that’s pretty exciting! I’ll have to make a ton of room on my steam deck though lol
And what if it is? Does that mean anything? It’s real rich that Exxon thinks other people can’t be greedy but has no qualms about being greedy themselves. Rules for thee not for me.
Well it looks like the price difference also comes with a bigger hard drive, so that helps soften that blow a bit. But TIL, I wasn’t aware of variable pricing based on device performance.
That sounds pretty in line with licensing costs for windows
I got a CX and it works just fine on that.
Have you tried connecting the steam deck to another display just to see if it’ll work?
Would this be better or worse for battery life?
They’ve been burning through multiple billions quarter over quarter during all those buybacks too. Sounds like poor leadership to me.
It’s about the data. It’s always about the data.
This is too close to an ad
Yeah I’m not going to hold my breath. They might just add the EA app back in after an update.
I edited my original post right when you replied, my bad.
I dunno if you can do that much remotely, honestly. I kinda feel like something might have corrupted? What kinda system are you using? Any more details you can provide?
Does your router have an app or way of letting you remotely see if the server is even showing on your home network?? It could be a physical disconnect or Ethernet port failure, or NIC failure maybe? A reboot wouldn’t help if the issue was related to something like that.
Edit: Actually, re-read your post and thinking about this again, what I said wouldn’t make sense…
You could have some sort of corruption causing an error in the appdata, preventing it from running. Might be a RAM issue.
It is medium, after all.
Unless you already paid for a lifetime Plex pass, I highly recommend giving Jellyfin a try.
Yep, bought a lifetime license like a decade ago when it was cheap. I’ve stuck with it since it’s been simple for my family to use.
These are the exact specs of my old computer.
I got myself a new one a year ago. My old one is now running unraid, and runs all my downloading apps and Plex server. Just bumped it up to 80Tb and it’s going strong. Enable GPU support and the 1080 is more than enough for any transcoding that might pop up.
But LLM stuff is a different question. I haven’t begun to dabble with that. But I hear Framework just announced a new desktop that’ll end up being an awesome little box for machine learning.
