I agree, I looked into some AI stuff and it was really complex.
I’ve seen this story before and that complex stuff kind goes away and then it was a waste of time learning it.

I think we are all wondering one thing that Pete might be able to answer.
“When two gay men have sex, how do they know who’s penis will open up to accept the other person’s penis?”
-Dwight Schrute
I did something similar to this before because I live in a different country from my home country and it’s not a problem if you host your own VPN in your own home, but if you use a commercial VPN service, the IP address may be flagged
There is a Windows only video confrencing app that I need to use for work. Would this work ok?
I wonder if it can connect to my laptops webcam and microhpone. I also wonder if there would be a delay in the video and audio streams.
I absolutely hate this stuff. My family doesn’t live in the same house, but it doesn’t mean we are not a family. My mother-in-law and sister-in-law just message us for the passwords when they want to stream something. None of us pay for youtube premium and it looks like I won’t be.
That’s unlikely to happen here. We have a universal qr-code system. And when you can into any banking app, it will display the vendors name.
The payment processors, will distribute placards that have the qr-code and the vendors name, so it’s pretty easy to tell.
Also, if it’s not a qr-code from a payment processor and it’s one, i could generate? Then the checkout screen is different.
Yeah, I agree that it could be improved upon, but it is easier than pairing Bluetooth since I can just plug in. Plus having the navigation on the car screen is easier to see than a phone mounted to the dash.
Where I live, we do not have tap to pay, we just scan qr-codes. But I guess the vendor would need to enable that. But, if i have a physical card, that’s good enough for me.
Yeah! CarPlay has been amazing to use for navigation. I wouldn’t consider a car that didn’t have something like this.
With that being said, I could be against getting a Linux phone and just leaving an old Android or iPhone in the car for CarPlay use.
These companies entrenched themselves and showed that they are terrible to work with.
As someone starting a business, I’m just admiring all these companies like the plague.
My work is not in tech, but I used to work in tech and have been building everything with open source software.
Hosting as much as I can and even coding some things myself.
I wonder if these companies are going to end up dead over these in the future.
That’s pretty cool, it sounds like the equivalent of a desktop environment in Linux.
Does switcher the launcher affect the performance in some way? I think I read somewhere that the default launcher is still running or something. But that didn’t really make sense to me.
From the androids I’ve used, cheap/old ones, on the main screen when you swipe all the way to the left, it always loads Google news.
Can that be disabled on your Samsung? I’m asking, not as a criticism, but genuinely. I really think dexmode is really cool. I think I could do all my work with just a Samsung and dex mode.
Its posts like these that make me uninterested in Android. It just seems like there is so much sketchy stuff under the hood.
I saw that video ages ago, it took a while for it to go into effect.
Huh?
When I first got the steam deck, I thought it was so great and used it all the time; I still do.
I told my wife that I liked it so much that I would buy the next one as soon as it released.
After having it for some time, I realized that all the games I play run on it easily and there is no real need to upgrade.
So, I plan to use this steamdeck until it it stops working. I imagine that will be a while as I’m going to repair it when/if something breaks.
Android or Apple is objectively better? I don’t think anyone can make that claim as people have different needs and preferences.
I don’t mind the vendor stuff to much as long as it gets out of your way. I just would be so annoyed to see random 3rd party stuff on the phone especially if it automatically installed.
I don’t really watch new tech videos anymore because I’m not I. The market for new tech. Mostly because it’s way too expensive now and my old stuff works well enough.
