Using LLM for format conversion is like taking a picture of an electronic document, taking the card out of the camera and plugging it into a computer, printing the screenshots, taking those prints to a scanner with OCR, turning the result into an audio recording, and then dictating it too an army of 3 million monkeys with typewriters.

Minimum viable product (MVP) is a term commonly used in project management. Typically it’s approached from the perspective of "let’s first do the work to meet the project requirements, and leave nice-to-have features as a stretch goal (i.e. only do it if the MVP is ahead of schedule). The antithesis of MVP is scope creep, which is what you seem to be suffering from.

The other responses have so far talked about hardware setup, so I’m not going to do that. Instead I’m looking at your software setup: VMs can be comparatively power inefficient compared to containers, specially for always-on services that idle often.
I have my SD docked into a 4k monitor most of the time, and I can tell you with certainty that some games will struggle at 4k on the SD. You can still use the 4k monitor for them, just play at a lower resolution.
Off the commercial off the shelf “smart” TVs available, I started by looking at the OSes available. Choices were Roku, webOS, Tizen, and Google TV. I immediately ruled out Roku because of their recent changes to terms&conditions. webOS is pretty much limited to LG TVs, and I had bad experiences with LG warranties, so I ruled that out. Tizen (Samsung) was out for similar reasons, so that left me with Google TV. It’s… OK. Doesn’t require Internet connection to work, and doesn’t nag me about it. And it came with a hardware switch to turn off the microphone. Not sure if that’s a brand thing (Hisense) or applicable to all Google TV devices, but was reassuring.
It’s probably 4 or 8 GB actual RAM, with the rest being effectively swap.

Have you raised the issue with your company IT department? You mention several solutions that you can’t implement because the admin has removed the capability for you to do it yourself, but it’s their job to fix this for you.
Also do yourself a favor and back up your data and setting before something catastrophic happens.
