I’ve never owned an Apple device in my life, but I would consider buying this for $200. That’s more than worth what you’re getting.
$3,500 is a joke though. I could spend less than that building an absolute beast of a gaming PC and get orders of magnitude more use out of it.
There will be ads everywhere.
Too late.
Same. I would definitely be one of the people complaining if I wasn’t getting it for free.
Here here!
Wear it on your ankle and make up a cool story about your criminal past.
I have around 12 watches. Only 2 of them cost more than $200 and both of those were gifts. I’ve never had the desire to have a smart watch let alone one that costs $1,000 but I can see the value in having a device that can measure certain parameters for medical reasons.
I never paid for prime. I hate paying for shipping though so I usually wait until I need a couple of things to get over the minimum. I recently ordered a pair of ear buds. They were $34.95 so I added a box of $1 Kraft mac and cheese to avoid paying the $8 for shipping. haha!
Virginia Beach with the Chesapeake Bay Bridge in the background. Pixel 7.
I really tried to get Jellyfin to work but I had so many issues. After a lot research and tinkering I finally got it to work… for about 30 seconds. No matter what I played the video would freeze shortly after starting and the audio would continue. Didn’t matter if I was remote or on the same network. I gave up.
I have 7 and my battery life is great. I use GPS nav a lot when I’m driving, listening to Podcasts or News with Bluetooth in my car, and moderate usage the rest of the day. I usually have around 30-40% when I get home in the evening depending on how much driving I did that day.
I don’t like to keep it on the charger overnight so I will usually wake up and plug it in while I get ready for work and charge on the way to work. Sometimes that’ll get me up to 100% but often I will start my day at 80-90%.
They blame Android for that for some reason. Makes no sense.
I’m guessing probably because more people like to have them separate and I get that. More control is a good thing. I just like to lower those volumes when I get to work and now I have an added step each time. It’s not a huge deal but a minor annoyance.
Man I had a Captivate and then a Skyrocket, but my first Android phone was an HTC Aria. That thing was so tiny! lol
So I broke down and just sideloaded it hahaha! It actually worked perfectly the very first time. I just followed this video.

I tried sideloading an update several times earlier this year and just had a lot of problems. It kept failing half way through and I got annoyed and gave up. Back in the Cyanogenmod days I would flash updates almost every week. I’ve just reached a point where I don’t feel like messing with all that shit anymore. So I’ll wait. lol
Just reporting in. Pixel 7 on T-Mobile and nothing yet. I tried that trick by turning off the SIM and checked over Wi-Fi too and nothing. I’ll get it when I get it, no big deal.
Night mode is great but if you can set your camera on something perfectly still or use some type of tripod, night mode will change to astrophotography mode after a couple of seconds. Then you can take a 5 minute exposure that saves both a nice looking image full of stars as well as a time laps video. Do this someplace really dark and point it in the direction of the Milky Way center for some great shots! Some of you probably already know this but I have met at least 2 Pixel owners who did not know this was a thing.
People that don’t trust or “believe” science are too stupid to connect those dots.
I’ve seen a few bands release a limited number of cassettes recently. For example, Rancid is selling Honor Is All We Know on cassette.
