7 hours agoOn Samsung they got rid of a perfectly good screenshot tool and replaced it with one that has AI, it’s slower, clunky, and not as good, I just want them to revert it. If I wanted AI I’d download an app.

Controversial take, I don’t think mods need to be paid. You don’t have to be a mod, you’re actively choosing to be a moderator. If you aren’t getting paid for your work and dislike that, then don’t do it. There’s always going to be someone willing to do it for free, like a hobby.
8·1 year agoI think a Steam Deck is a better buy. It’s a little more pricy sure, but a lot more powerful and a LOT more games to pick from. And it docks great, I mostly play docked to my TV
My first choice would be a Framework, second choice System76.

Even cracked I didn’t like it, I swapped to YT Music ReVanced. The Spotify algorithm used to be good for me but lately it kinda sucked.
My last car purchase was £8650 for a 1L petrol from 2016. And I bought it this year.
If he could direct me to the nearest electric car of the same price and range I’d be happy to buy one, until then it’s a stupid comment and ICE are going to be here for a LONG time, purely because not everyone can afford expensive vehicles.

1·2 years agoI don’t have the official dock, but I do have the Jsaux dock. Maybe I’m lucky but I haven’t had any of these issues, the worst I had was audio came out of the Deck rather than TV after I put the deck to sleep, docked, then woke it. But a quick setting change and back to normal.
Lemmy.world sucks, it’s constantly down and they block communities people want to federate with, and leave communities federated people want blocked.

1·2 years agoYes, a LOT of people. There’s countless videos on YouTube, especially since the Steam Deck’s release.
6·2 years agoIt gets the number that’s ringing and compares it to a database it downloaded. It’s not doing anything with your sensitive data.
At most if you decide to check online reviews against a number it’ll search the phone number online, but you get a warning beforehand and you don’t have to do that.
Firestick 4K is a cheap yet beasty device, and being Android you can install third party apps easily.
Plex/JellyFin, Kodi, Stremio. No need to spend so much on an AppleTV when the firestick is more than enough.
Also apps like SmartTubeNext and SoundTV.
Are there any good dumb EVs? No internet features, no tracking, just an electric car I can get in and drive?
I constantly see features built in to the car but artificially locked behind a paywalls, like heated seats or even speed, software that tracks you or staff able to watch you through cameras.
I just want a car.

Go to China, there’s loads of them. Top Gear did a good segment in it years ago.
Yes, Smart Select. I do that now, but taking a full screenshot and cropping it is slower for me than the old Smart Select. I hate this new version, it’s slower and doesn’t work the same, we should get the option to pick, but they forced the upgrade and I have no choice.
