I have come over a few Reddit communities who moved to Discord of all things. I don’t get why. That isn’t even remotely the same type of discussion platform.
A classic nerd from Norway.

I doubt they do Scandinavian layouts?
I would love a modern C64-themed keyboard myself.
We need only two buttons, 1 and 0. A bit slow to write on though.
Huh. Got a nonsense reply like this when I was ranting on reddit too. One person who suddenly claimed “so you just admitted you cheated” when theres nothing in the post about actually admitting cheating. A bot who cant read properly? 😂
I was instantly permabanned for adding RAM to my computer while having the game installed. First game I’ve ever been banned before. And instantly permanent? I would think there would be a warning at least! I wonder how many else are falsely banned… Because @[email protected] have a point, it used to be those who cheated who complained, and this makes it difficult for a faulty cheat detection to be picked up by the devs. More so when they think “they have fixed it” after the first time a wave got falsely banned.
I spent a day really angry about it, ranting on reddit. Was pretty shocked from it. Then I calmed down and figured I didnt enjoy that game enough to take it further.
Same. A solid watch. And lightweight and comfortable. And a style I enjoy. A decent app. Just too bad it ate another smart watch company, before itself got eaten by google, who so far has done nothing with it except slowly killing features. We are truly living in the age of #enshittification.
you can’t really put the blame on guns since they’re just physical objects.
Thats a language issue. Words can mean two similar things. Nobody is putting the blame on the guns as if they could put them on a trial.
Also fighting copyright claims from the music and movie industry is even more expensive and difficult.
Microsoft (with their Azure) has more than enough storage space. They got CDNs and video streaming technologies (that anyone can use in their own products). But they’ve still given up their own music streaming service and public video upload service.
Jup. Surface Pro: Very lightweight, solid, powerful (for its size), fan-less (some models), both tablet and laptop, has an okay stylus. Whats not to like? Oh, right, the default OS. 😊
Thats on android only. And no, it isnt. If its a PWA then that button changes to “Install”. Which does almost the same thing as “Add to home screen” except it opens the webpage up as if it was a separate app. That means it gets its own entry in the “Recent apps” list and its own icon, and it hides the address bar.
Edit: You can test this yourself by going to lemmy.world on your phone. It is a PWA. Any website can really be a PWA, it just needs a manifest file. Lemmy.worlds manifest are available here and you can see what settings it contains.
Are you talking about Firefox for Android? Because no, regular Firefox doesnt.
I don’t think they are. Slower and more unstable. I’m using Edge for developing.
People would take out hits on people to free an IP, if it is particularly valuable. So lets not bind it to an authors life at all.
They’ve done objective research on this?! Why aren’t we following the fuckin science? We’re discussing the rules and duration when we should be discuss how to get it past the corpos and into implemented law.
A tool that could need some sharpening. I’m all for much shorter but much stricter, I think that will help smaller ip holders more.
And if you miss PWAs, Firefox got an extension for it now. Check out PWAsForFirefox. And unless Edge and Chrome, you can edit the name before pinning the site.
A few bugs and drawbacks though. It uses its own profile, so you will probably want Firefox Sync to transfer your password vault and extensions to it.
They haven’t been disbarred yet? LegalEagle did a hilarious episode about these back when it happened. They were lazy and extremely dumb. Once the judge asked for clarification about the missing cases, they used chatgpt again to make up fictional details about the cases.
Why would he tweet about his losses in the first place? I applaud his openness (/s) but I doubt any investors or advertisers will come running to a dying social networking.
Heres a diagram of what the whole nerd-font set contains: https://www.nerdfonts.com/assets/img/sankey-glyphs-combined-diagram.png
I’m using it for my oh-my-posh theme and posh-git. Showing icons for git status and product icon for the remote service (github/bitbucket/azure). There are also themes that uses the weather icons, I’ve seen. And probably a bunch of other uses for someone more creative than me.
Not ChatGPT, but other new AI stuff is likely to take a few jobs. Actors and voice-actors among other.
