You can specify the virtualization engine in VirtualBox, including KVM.
A couple of easy virtualization tools that allow you to create VMs in a few clicks are Gnome Boxes and QuickEmu, which leverages Qemu and KVM
Not normal, you are a weirdo.
I use W11 bloat edition, BTW
That was my gateway into automation, but it seems that they’ve essentially abandoned the range.
I think they may be British, and want those who wish to criticize to for a queue
I thought the G number meant how many Gb’s I could store in the cable
I replace ARCH with Windows 11 bloat edition. I use windows 11 BTW
Doesn’t anybody else lick their seats?
I own an HP Proliant micro server gen 8. Sweet machine. I bought it new, but there are plenty used around, great looking device. A real pro server in a small format. Celeron, but you can find i3, i5, or i7, and can take some specific xeons. 4 real HP drive caddies.an extra sata originally for a CD, that can repurposed for an SSD, and USB3 in case you want to add even more drives. Very low power consumption. I have xpenology installed, because of the polished experience, but you can install any NAS OS you want. Xpenology has a ton of apps you can install, and also does docker.
have switched to HopToDesk, a rust desk fork. It’s supposed to be les fuckeddy
Just curious. Why do you write 3/30 instead of 1/10?
I would either get a used HP Proliant microserver Gen 8 (I own one. Pretty sweet) or get a mini ITX nas case, 4 or more bays. Depending on USB doesn’t seem like a good idea to me. You can always sell your mini PC. I have slowly learned to avoid the sunk cost fallacy.
I have a video conference ring that I set to disco RGB and control with the middle button. Does that count?
Whistleblower deaths should have all of a company’s director’s investigated by default. It may be that 99% are innocent, but just one or two seeing their massively valuable stock, and options in danger, may be driven to such actions on their own.
When CDs were introduced they were touted as essentially eternal and damage proof. Id take M discs xlaim with a pinch of salt
Consumables drop in cost per page the more you pay for the printer. Business printer consumables are cheaper per page.
Lasers are often overkill for many home owners who print a few dozen pages per year. Also, Lasers are inferior for printing photos. Even a cheap inkjets if printing on photo paper are way superior for photos. That said, pay services are the better option for most.
I print quite a bit, so I own a BW Brother for volume, and an Epson for photos and other stuff. I realize I-m not a n average user, though.
I generally use compatible cartridges. I can buy toner for my Brother for something like 15 25 Euro from amazon, and carts for Epson for 25 Euro for an 8 pack. They work fine. BTW, I bought the brother laser, new, in the box, from a second hand marketplace for 60 Euro. Basic printer, not a MFP, no scanner, b duplex but not wifi, which is probably why they sold it, probably a mistake buy and outside the return window.
It is not. It’s precisely because I don’t wish to disrespect others that I wish there was an acceptable way to address others in a way where I couldn’t inadvertently call someone something they don’t want if I’m not aware of their preference. That’s why I advocate for respectful, neutral pronouns. I’m fine if we do away with him/her, whatever. Replace it with whatever. Thou? Ot, Om, OS? I don’t know. I wish for a way for people to be them, not labels. I believe that the way to equality is making gender a non issue.
Isn’t there some sort of alternative OS for iPads, like linux on MacOS machines?
I wish there was a single generic pronoun, gender neutral. I don’t agree with chosen pronouns. Language is standardized for a reason.
The fact that there aren’t riots in the US demanding universal care simply baffles me.
Ages ago I used to use Webmin. I have no clue as how it stacks up to others nowadays.
