Linux works for roughly 80% of what I do. The BIG missing piece is audio production. The software is mostly okay, it’s the actual audio system that’s the problem. Audio on Linux sucks big floppy donkey dicks. Yes, I know all about JACK (complicated and never works the way you think it should), RT kernels, Pipewire, etc. It’s all terrible.
All those middle managers will be displaced.
CSS ruined the internet and it will ruin this as well.
Krita has a better brush engine and the AI plugin is amazing. The live AI painting with layers is so cool. It’s like magic
I’m not on YouTube shouting about it, though.
I’d argue that it really doesn’t matter. Linux has taken over everything else. And the more MS fucks up, the more likely people will look for alternatives. I do believe many will go to Mac, but Linux is clearly picking up some of the slack as well. Microsoft wouldn’t be the first tech company to take a tumble. Never say never.

Because he’s obnoxious and so sure of his bad takes as if they’re fact, as opposed to shit opinions. Did I mention he’s obnoxious?
I can’t stand this guy. That has nothing to do with the video, other than I probably won’t watch it because of how much I dislike him.
The main reason I like Winamp: Advance Visualization Studio. And skins. Bring back skins in applications. I don’t care if 99% are ugly and unusable. We don’t need jerks like Gnome team deciding what everything should look like.
Idk what age your dad is, but I’m 53 (gen-x) and my generation are notorious for being difficult to market to. Maybe he just blanks it out, like an automatic mute button. I used to do that but ads are far too mentally disruptive for me these days. I’ve had enough.
I despise ads. I can’t even bring myself to watch Netflix or Amazon Prime. If there is advertising, it ain’t worth it, no matter how cheap.
That was a short honeymoon.
No. Not unless you want a nasty-gram from your ISP.
Gnome might as well be proprietary with their shit attitude.
Nice additions. Shotcut is the editor I settled on because Kdenlive and Openshot…cut(?) we’re just too unstable and crashy.
Has anyone here ever tried punching themselves in the dick repeatedly?
I’m not a programmer and I’ve been dual booting for 25 years.
