How much would you be willing to pay per search? And do you know how many searches you make every month?
For me, i pay not for the searches as such, but to not be tracked and be shown more ads than search results
They do have different tiers depending on your search volume and features, so in a way they already have this. I’d hate to have to go through checkout every time i did a search.
Kagi is also good. Better imo really

7·6 months agoI actually would have typed that into my comment too, but i have no knowledge of how much slower a wind powered boat would travel upwind or how dependent performance would be on wind. I totally understand the need for mechanically powered transportation instead of using wind. My comment is mainly targeted at the misleading comparison.
Isn’t this massively misleading? Comparing the fuel consumption to a chase boat that is not a hydrofoil, and blaming the efficiency on the fact that it is an EV?

When they reply that they have deleted the account, do you assume that they also delete any information that they have stored or that they simply close it and keep the information?
Personally i want them to delete my email name and other information so that it is not at all in their systems.
The problem here is, that I can’t write and check, without them creating a new account for that email

Yes. This is why i am in touch with them. But every time i need to reply, to make sure that they comply, they create a new account.
I trully dont understand why sellers still use etsy. I partly understand that buyers do but for sellers its a shitshow of fees and eroding terms that limit any dignity for the sellers.
There is a great coop alternative run by the sellers and where you can buy in on the coop by working for them

uBlock origin, can access the page fine, without showing any promts. I have more or less all filters turned on though (cookie popups, social media trackers etc)
Actually they still track you, they just don’t share the information with advertisers. This is hte “pay or ok” model of blackmailing users to accept cookies and tracking. More or less what Facebook did last year, but Facebook charged a price tag that was higher than what Netflix costs! In the EU, this is not what was intended, and is currently being redefined

Just make a list of advertisers who actually advertise in these, and actively avoid & shame them. It is fair that they try new things out, but the problem is, when the consumers accept them.
