There is absolutely huge moral and ethical, and pragmatic, issues with hoarding essential resources, such as housing. Homelessness is a growing problem, and these people are gladly treating it as a money-making scheme. Society would be better if they had productive jobs instead. As a collective, landlords are responsible for systematic preventable homelessness and death. Most moral frameworks consider that very bad!

The middle class? As far as I’m concerned, the two important classes are the worker class and the owner class, and the leeches can’t survive without the host. On the other hand, open-source software enables one to disable or edit those blocklists with a simple patch. It’s just an extreme way of making it the default behavior, and therefore making their political statement stronger.

Iran, for one example, is a prolific cybersecurity adversary of the USA. One of the top four advesaries alongside China, North Korea and Russia. In fact, Iran is believed to be responsible for disclosing a CIA covert channel to China which led to a critical dismantling of CIA assets. I don’t know as much about other Arab states because Iran is most famous for its advanced cyber-warfare capabilities, but honestly, to avoid exploiting the USA would be very foolish.

Obviously this goes both ways. Israel and the USA are infamous for Stuxnet, a computer virus which reportedly destroyed a fifth of Iran’s nuclear centrifuges in the early 2000s.
