I wanna use Guix but I worry about hardware compatibility, when I tried to run it the installer said my hardware wasn’t 100% compatible and recommended me not to continue.
I hope the project lives on in the long run.

1·4 days agoMaybe because the community is huge and it’s very mainstream?
It’s one of the very few competitive games played by women I know in real life. Most of them play more casual games or single player stuff.

2·4 days agoI talked with two elders and they told be they believe in the succession of priesthood, they don’t like the idea of someone without that knowledge being supposedly sent by God to preach without it.
And in their personal opinion agreed more with the Catholics/Orthodox in that regard, rather than the Protestants.

71·4 days agoI mean, it’s the Android Open Source Project. Restricting it would be against the interests of the Free Software/Open Source movements and I believe that’s a violation on the principles of the project in my opinion.

6·4 days agoI don’t know, but I’m not sure if a government funded fork would be the right move.
Many people have their doubts about using funding for things like that, I wouldn’t be opposed to it but Europe has other problems that people might consider more urgent.

2·1 month agoI thought all of this speculative market around preserved game boxes was dead, but I see it isn’t. I hope we get past this, let it die, and just keep being dead.
It depends heavily on your hardware and workflow.
Wayland can be a great experience and I personally enjoy how smooth it feels, but I acknowledge that many people run into some problems.
This is amazing! I’d love to see more Android GTK apps in the future.

2·1 month agoI don’t really mind having DDR4 around for a few years more if that means the prices aren’t so bad. I’d really appreciate that, as I want to get more RAM for virtualization.

Right now and using NixOS and I’m pretty happy with it, it suffers from There’s More Than One Way To Do It and there are so many options that do the same and the documentation isn’t great.
When I finally made my base flake.nix, easy peasy! But the difficulty curve is pretty steep.
