I think what people generally mean when they say programming language (other than just a language to write a program) is that the language is turing complete. Even with this more limited definition, JavaScript, Bash, and Powershell are turing complete and therefore programming languages.

Google Workspaces still have spam filtering in place, it’d be unusable if not. Admins can create rules for additional scanning if needed. You could also check the MX record to see if you’re actually sending to Google first, or a third party scanner who then forwards to Google Workspace.

What is the TLD of the domain you’re trying to move? Not all registrars support all domain names. For example .ie domains for Ireland can only be registered at very few registrars, which is a pain.

Weird story, and I have to assume this is data entry error, identity theft, or something else: I couldn’t sign up for a hospital billing platform because my name and full birthdate (including year) conflicted with someone else in the system. I called the hospital billing department and they were very confused about the whole situation. It didn’t really get resolved, and I basically had to let it go to collections so that I could pay because of the shitty system. I don’t have a very common name, and never have had this problem before.

What I assume the commenter meant is that Beeper was bought by Automattic, which also owns Wordpress and whose CEO is Matt Mullenweg. Recently Mullenweg has been on a vendetta against WPEngine from benefiting from Wordpress, and basically sabotaging Wordpress to spite WPEngine. This article details the beef.

That being said, I use Beeper (and Pocket Casts, also owned by Automattic) and enjoy them a bunch. I haven’t noticed any issues since April, and the whole Wordpress vs. WPEngine seems to not affect Beeper.

Turns out hiring a cab for your pizza is expensive, who would have thought. Personally when ordering out, I always choose pickup, and fortunately can bike to most places to pick it up. If the weather is too shitty to bike, why would I want to put a delivery driver in those conditions.

I would assume that the requests sent from the torrent client to download data are not factored into the Upload amount for the torrent. When they mean no upload, it would be that none of the data in the files they downloaded were shared with anyone else, making them a piece of shit leecher.
