I can see how plague rats would be a uniquely ideal demographic for scammers. They’re incredibly stupid and very loud about it. They probably don’t even have to try very hard to find these marks. So zero sympathy for them. I feel terrible for the medical professionals that are being impersonated to commit these crimes though.
