What search engine do you use?

Can’t you just replace the battery somehow? My phone’s old battery had an adhesive which the repairman just cut, then he put in a new adhesive and battery in.

I hate how everything has to be monetized nowadays, or how money is to be expected for everything. Eventually people who provide free service or altruism will be seen as competition.

Not a lot of people are lucky to get funded unfortunately :(

Technically, our standard of living is much much lower. A lot of us don’t have water heating, so we just shower (or dunk, if you use a pail, because some of us can’t afford showers) with cold water, unless you want to spend precious time and fuel to boil it. I see Americans who glorify cold showers, saying that it develops you as a person. Heating and cooling is a no-brainer for Americans, but many of us are still hesitant to use air conditioning even at 30°C. In my country, we still have regular service (water and electricity) interruptions, even in the cities. Yes, rent can be lower outside of major cities, but development is centralised there, so you’d rather move to those cities anyway. I would hear of families having to seek treatment in a more developed city, because their city doesn’t have resources.

Last night I watched the news and some parts of my country will be experiencing a heat index of 50°C…

In my experience Odyssey has that too, even on unrelated videos, and they’re often liked for some reason. Atleast on Youtube you see those comments only on newest

Their content has better reach on Youtube, though. And has a better comment section which would be relevant to the video (which Oddysee has a problem with)

Haven’t logged in on Reddit for a while. It feels good not to doomscroll for hours a day. Lemmy is less addicting and less time-wasting and actually has valuable comments whereas Reddit’s comment section is mostly pure garbage that I feel compelled to upvote (probably my compulsive tendencies though). But I still use Reddit to search up stuff, however on Old Reddit I think they added a feature where they put recommended posts IN THE COMMENT SECTION and you have to scroll for a while to access the other comments. Idk if that’s new or it’s something I just noticed but that’s such an asshole design.
