I don’t know about Arch itself on its own but I use CachyOS that is built off it and everything just works for me.

It’s easier to install/use. It was my first distro before I switched to CachyOS for my latest build.

I used Mint on my previous system but currently rolling CachyOS personally. Bazzite was a close contender for me.

Obtaining a game digitally is not the same as a requirement to play it.

Only games I play that have mandatory internet access are mmos. Outside of that if it requires it I won’t play it. The community can get devs to change too as we did with Nightingale.

Start with Linux Mint and use Steam’s Proton or Lutris. I can run just about every game natively or using one of those without having to do too much work to play them.

Mint is easy to use too if you don’t want to fiddle around with various packages.
