I personally recommend Linux Mint. It feels just close enough to Windows to be fairly comfortable to use. Customizing the task bar on Cinnamon still feels weirdly awkward and confusing though.

Frankly the only game I haven’t been able to play (besides a couple of old MMO private servers I couldn’t get running) has been Fortnite, and there’s frankly no reason it shouldn’t run on Linux already, Epic just sucks

People use a lot of proprietary software because it’s their job, why would you want to use a program requiring you to relearn an entire operating system, is more difficult to initially setup and generally has less features and support when you can just… Use the thing that works?
