The former speaker of the House of Representatives is instead pushing Rep. Gerry Connolly (D-VA) to win the high-ranking role, and is “actively working to tank” AOC’s bid while “making calls” on behalf of Connolly, Punchbowl News reported Thursday.

The report adds that Pelosi’s behind-the-scenes maneuvering displays the sheer “amount of political capital” she’s willing to put into Connolly’s campaign—the verdict of which will be decided next week.

Rarely. Humans can be very inconsistent due to their inherent biases and emotions. If what you say were true we would have been able to observe it take place by now.

Not many people are pure leftists though. We all have our inherent biases based on things like social class, upbringing, religion, nationality, etc. Just because a consistent framework is there doesn’t mean people just fit so well into it.

It’s remarkably easy to have your expenses slowly creep upward in our society. Especially as prices constantly go up in the name of “inflation”.

It’s not a single issue vote for most Americans. It was definitely a single issue vote for majority of Arab-Americans. Who are concentrated particualrly in criticial swing states like Michigan and Wisconsin.

Supporting Israel was the unpopular opinion. Over 2/3rds of Americans supported enforcing a ceasefire, 80% of Democrats did. They didn’t do it for the popular vote. They did it for political convenience and foreign lobbying.

The compassion of a vast majority of Americans doesn’t mean shit when their tax dollars are funding a genocide.

They lost the election because they failed to listen to their voters. This failure is a failure of the DNC and the overall Democratic party. Full stop.

Attitudes like that is why Democrats lost the Arab vote, which made them lose swing states like Michigan. Israel is currently undertaking an extermination campaign in Northern Gaza, openly saying they want to settle Northen Gaza, killing civilians in West Jerusalem as well as demolishing homes, invading Lebanon, and trying to start a regional war with Iran. Trump didn’t do that, Biden did. Saying it’s going to get worse under Trump is meaningless when terror attacks and civilians are being slaughtered with impunity. A genocide is a genocide. Whether one is slower or faster makes little difference.
