ROFLMAO. This bloke. Fucking Americans.
ROFLMAO. This bloke. Fucking Americans.
We absolutely see lots of news about these violent communist uprisings. Definitely not something you’re imagining. Not at all.
You’re responding to a follow-up comment from a different user who is disagreeing with the first comment as if they’re the author of the original comment and their clear dissent is actually them agreeing with themselves somehow. Of course, you’re arguing with anyone who points out you’re confused.
Literal fucking insanity, mate.
Wow indeed. We’re only a few comments deep, so you can see the comment. This one:
Continuing the analogy, government agencies can absolutely eavesdrop on in-person conversations unless you expend significant resources to prevent it. This is exactly what I believe will happen - organized crime will develop alternate methods the government can’t access while these backdoors are used to monitor less advanced criminals and normal people.
I challenge you to show where it suggests a “want for uncompromising privacy is a US only thing.” Then point out where they show support for government access to communications.
I’m telling someone who says that a want for uncompromising privacy is a US thing that it’s not
But their comment doesn’t say or suggest that.
and that these compromises they speak of would be akin to telescreens if applied to a non-digital situation.
And they don’t say anything about the compromises except that they’d be used for spying on citizenry.
This isn’t my fight, I saw you were confused and thought I’d help. My mistake, you really are one of those double down or die types.
Telling someone who says government access will be used to spy on citizens but will be useless for combating serious crime that they want telescreens, a fictitious device used for government spying, doesn’t make any sense. Either you don’t know what a telescreen is, you have poor reading comprehension, or you’re a fairly clever troll. Maybe some of all the above.
I think you do, you just misread their comment.
Give it 52 years and we’ll have more cool stuff, plus 300% more ads.
I think reading this comment just made me even stupider.
What’s the opposite of rizzmaxxing? Cause he’s doing that.
I decided to give it a few days before checking back in and have decided to block this community. The mod’s banning of the “brigade” of two .ml people in response to their compliance to the mod’s requests got me looking deeper into their behavior. They’re unabashedly biased and overall a poor moderator. They request responses and either ban users because the response wasn’t what they wanted to hear or just don’t respond.
The great thing about Lemmy is being able to start a new community. I might do just that.
He’s a co-creator of WordPress and (my opinion) a total knob.
The night shift at the glue factory must be ending, ShartDickPrime is up to his antics again.
Why not a federated, free, open source dating service? Fuck getting ahead in the rat race, let’s help some lemmings fuck.
Two people constitutes brigading? By that standard, you ought to ban the lot of us from .world!
I intended to respond but this lot beat me to the punch. The only thing I’ll emphasize is The Sun, a tabloid rag with a history of false reporting, is the only original reporting. The other outlets are parroting them, some without attribution by simply stating “according to reports” like the above linked NZ Herald, or indirectly by attributing to a report which attributes it to another and so on, until it ultimately gets back to The Sun, like in this India Times article.
NYT: “Dictator Kim Jong Un has declared that serving the sausage was an act of treason, The Sun reports…”
Vice: “One thing to keep in mind about this report is that you have to take it with a grain of salt. It originates from The Sun, a tabloid that doesn’t have a ton of credibility.” -Emphasis mine because it’s funny-
The Mirror: . “One vendor, who is based in the northern province of Ryanggang, stressed that authorities have been monitoring them closely. The vendor told The Sun…”
Regardless, none of this really matters. This “call for commentary” appears to be your attempt to legitimize your moderation as we’re doing scarcely more than the bloke you banned for answering your request. You’re doing less. Should you be banned?
If you can’t be impartial, or at least honest about it when you aren’t, consider handing the job to someone who can.
Good thing I’m from the “safe instance”. Apparently two people with similar opinions from the “bad instance” constitutes brigading. If my eyes rolled any harder, they’d pop.
For the record, “arguing in favor of a fascist regime” also appears to mean questioning if this article is actually true. Admittedly, they didn’t do the best job. This “brigade” from .ml was an astounding two people, plus one who responded to me with a snarky comment.
Given the originating article was actually from The Sun, a right-wing tabloid, I’m a little skeptical. The Radio Free Asia bit was in reference to a November 2024 article about the crackdown on the other mentioned dishes. Not coming from a tabloid, I’m much less skeptical there.
Also for the record, I commented once in a .ml “Fuck Cars” post. Looking forward to seeing if browsing by all makes me a pro-fascist North Korean supporter.
They banned them for being a dedicated propaganda account for complying with their request. This shows two things:
Coulda fooled me since you’re spouting conservative American propaganda.
