EDIT: Yeah, I looked into it, there’s actually only a few. rss2ap doesn’t support mastodon, which is kind of a deal breaker. Mastofeeder wants its own DNS to run locally, I can’t see their proxied feeds from my instance, and some sites just straight up don’t work. rss-to-activitypub seems fairly robust, but really wants its own mastodon instance and hasn’t been touched in four years.

There isn’t much. Not that I can find easily, anyway. Depending on your actual hardware, you might be able to get away with just using an old case. mATX has been around since the late '90s. Only thing I’d watch out for is ventilation.

I tried out Bazzite on my Legion Go and was so impressed I immediately stopped distro hopping and installed it on my daily as well. Hardware wise everything works out of the box. It’s based on Fedora Kinoite so it’s quite well documented if you run into trouble or want to start doing weird shit. The few times I’ve had issues (mostly with flatpak sandboxing) they’ve been solvable with a quick web search.

Any new parts are most likely going to necessitate a complete rebuild. Your mainboard probably tops out at PCI3, a new GPU will be PCI4. It’ll work, but you won’t see as big an improvement as you expect. Any new CPU is going to need a new mainboard because intel. New mainboard means upgrading to DDR5 RAM because that’s the standard now.

Alternatively go the secondhand route, you should be able to pick up an i5 or i7 that’s socket compatible for not much.

Sorry to necro the thread but I ended up getting one of these and it’s great so thanks for the recommendation. Recently switched to Linux and found Rivalcfg supports aerox 5. Terminal only, but worth checking out if you’re still searching.
